Policymakers: The California School Finance Center provides policymakers with a clear, unbiased look at how our public school districts are funded and performing. They can also get a clearer picture on how equitably revenue is being distributed from all sources to different school communities. Policymakers can search for data on any public school district, make comparisons among look-a-like districts (Peer Comparisons), and even sort districts by legislative district to focus on their own constituents. We hope this data helps to create an informed debate about the adequacy and efficiency of public school funding, while assisting policymakers in designing accountability and support systems, determining the impact of past policies and monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of new initiatives to improve public schools.
